Dear Marion,
How are you all? Hopefully, all of you are in good health. At present, we all (including all Patenkinder ) are fine and quite busy with our own daily chores. Here I have tosay " Very Sorry " for my late e-mail. In fact, in the last few weeks, I felt myself that I am notso strong like as ever before. Maybe, I am becoming aging and in November I will be 47 years old. But life begins at 40, right? Anyway, I am now quite okay and also happily taking care of our 6 Patenkinder, under my supervision with the assistance of Projekt-Burma.Thank you very much for the gifts you sent to Honey and other patenkinder. The children are very happy to eat jelly-candy and to draw pictures with color pencils.Theyounger ones scared to eat mouse-shape candy but later they found it so tasteful,so within oneweek all candies and jelly are finishedYou can see their smiling faces in photos. Honey takesone Vitamin tablet daily and she likes to take it with cold water as a cold drink. With yourTrinkgeld "50 Bucks" for Honey's B.day, she wants me to buy a writing table which can also use as a computer table. She is slowly growing up and next year she will be in SecondaryLevel ( Grade 6). She needs to know "How to use computer" as well. At the moment, Honeyis doing well in her studies and her grading is also improving month after month. Thanksagain for it, Marion. Regarding about mother and the baby , both are quite fine and safe, nothing serious! But mother is still weak and needs to get more rest and a bit more nutritious stuffs. Before delivery, mother got Prenatal vitamins, nutritious supplements ( like as ovatine, milo etc..) .Even though everything may appear to be normal during her pregnancy, shemade four clinic -visits for her own well-being and that of her baby, according to youradvice. Indeed,we planned her to give birth in hospital. But she got early labor pain and ababy was born as a Home-Birth with the help of so called (illegal) mid-wife. Fortunately, baby and mother got no big problem but mother became weak and got minor bleeding. Sothe next day,I called for a registered nurse who is working in district hospital to check bothof them. The nurse made three home-visits and mother got some injections and medicines. Asa 25 year experienced nurse in this field, she handled it properly and now both are in goodhealth. I also asked mother with the baby to visit to hospital once a month. At the moment, weare providing mother with postnatal medicines and nutritious foods, till another two months(October and November). For baby, he is healthy and fit as long as mother is okay. Becausehe drinks only breast-milk from his mother, right! In three-month times, the boy will get vaccinations for disease prevention. As a Saturday born, we named him " Tun Lin " whichmeans "Bright Future Ahead " for himself and for his family. Is it a nice name, right ! The expense list (Part.1) is attached .
Another topic is about the sick girl (Khin San Win)… She is now quickly recovered and goesto school happily with other Patenkinder . Indeed, she just escaped from her deadly sickness. On her first clinic-visit, the doctor told us that " her condition is fifty-fifty..he will tryhis best ".So after more visits, her "Luck " slowly came back to her. Frankly speaking, withoutour Projekt- Burma's assistance, her destiny could be a sad story. I was very happy to see heragain in school uniform..Now she is back to school. The expense list (Part.2) is attached. And regarding about "Hepatitis B vaccines Project" for 8 children and 2 mothers from the bigfamily, I planned to get vaccines in October (After school mid-team exam). It is long schoolholidaysand is more convenient for us to do on that time. Below is the person- list forHepatitis B vaccines.

Marion … About two pigs … Last month one pig got sickness seriously and we managed tosell it,before it died. Then with the money, we bought another small pig (male) again on next day. The first pig (female) is becoming big now and would be ready to get marriage in twomonths. (I cannot find suitable words for it, but you understand it, right!). Present market price of these two pigs is worth about 1,60,000 Kyats. But we will not sell and wait for, tillmother-pig's delivery time. Then surely, this family can get some profit money to expand pigbreeding business (or) to buy a small plot of land in nearby village. This is what I thought.
Was meinst du dazu, Marion …?
And regarding about 5 Patenkinder from the big family, they are now studying happily in monastic school, like other normal children in the country. Maybe, they are not so good and clever in their studies, but at least, they are learning something good in school and hopefully,it will make their living better in future. It is because of our Projekt-Burma – your continuous tireless Efforts!
Marion … please Take Good Care of Yourself and Horst, Tina and Patty too. May God giveyou all a very happy and long life so that more and more students and unfortunate ones maybenefit from your excellent efforts " Projekt-Burma ". Again, please, convey our thanks toyour generous friends and to our Projekt-Burma colleagues in Germany .
wishing you all the best,
Aung Zaw & Honey
